“I have been training with Lynwood for 5 years. His coaching, clinics and techniques have helped me tremendously. His guidance and advice were instrumental in helping me achieve a personal best at the 2014 LA Marathon. Thanks coach!”
““When I began training, I couldn’t even run a lap around our parking lot. A year later, I ran my first half marathon and am hooked on his coaching. Lynwood does such a great job of adapting exercises to your personal ability level. He pushes you beyond what you think you can do, but does it with a gentle, encouraging hand. Thanks, Lynwood”
““I’ve been training with Lynwood for over 5 years now and would never have been able to meet my cycling goals without his help. I do multiple endurance cycling events throughout the year, including the Mulholland Challenge (116 miles and 13,000ft of climbing) and the Death Ride (125 miles and 15,000ft of climbing). These rides take in incredible amount of strength, stamina and focus to complete, and Lynwood has played a key role in all of these areas to help get me over the finish line. He also played a major role in my recovery from a very nasty crash. He is the reason I regained my balance, mobility and strength at a time when I wasn’t sure if I’d ever be able to walk again. I am currently training for the Furnace Creek 508. A 46 hour, 508 mile race through Mojave and Death Valley this coming October. The work Lynwood is doing with me now will enable me to finish this race, and finish it strong. Thanks Wood!!!””
““During the last five years of working with Lynwood, the thing I’ve come to appreciate most about him isn’t his obvious skill as a trainer. It isn’t the generosity towards which he gives his time or shares his knowledge. It isn’t even the relentless positivity that he brings to every session. The thing I personally appreciate about Lynwood is his belief that I can better myself. This belief has sustained me past the point I would have given up, pushing me to achieve a level of fitness I’ve not had before as an adult. He’s put my goals within reach, and has made the journey getting there rewarding and fun.I’m by no means where I want to be, but I’m in a much better place than I was and I know I have a good shot at getting there. Because Lynwood believes I will.””
““I am exceptionally happy with Lynwood’s boot camp. Each session is just as challenging as the last and always a new experience. Lynwood’s training knowledge is indispensible but that is not what really makes his classes truly unique and rewarding. What Lynwood brings to the table is something that cannot be taught but is entirely intuitive: the perfect balance of pushing his students to do more, to try harder all while understanding when someone can go no further; all the while he never loses his energetic support. Working with him is truly rewarding and inspiring.”
“I’ve been attending Lynwood’s training sessions for a few months, and I am now in the best shape of my life. Seriously. It makes me feel strong and prepared for almost any activity. For my favorite sports, ice hockey and skiing, I have realized performance gains I never thought possible. In hockey I have a quicker step, more power in my stride, and an ability to push through my endurance limits like never before. With skiing, I can do top-to-bottom black diamond runs without stopping periodically to rest my legs. Lynwood’s work-outs have also strengthened my fine stabilizer muscles which have allowed me to really concentrate on my form and maintain an edge, even in challenging terrain. But one of the best payoffs is my strengthened core. I sit at a desk all day for work. I used to experience a sore, fatigued lower back. Not anymore. Lynwood always makes the workouts fun, and his cheerful attitude is infectious. You can’t help but want to give it your all.”
